    Flip a Coin Day – the historical origins of flipping a coin dates back to Roman times and was known as “navia aut caput” (“Ship of head”) as some coins had a ship on side and the head of the emperor on the other. So have there been court cases settled by the flip of a coin?  Sort of, actually the decision of who would argue a case at the Supreme Court was settled back in 2008 this way.
