So what about the age old debate, are raw or cooked vegetables better for you? Well, it really depends on the vegetable. According to, “cooked carrots, spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, cabbage, peppers and other vegetables also supply more antioxidants, and that cooking tomatoes actually boosts the amount of lycopene in tomatoes”. Lycopene helps to lower cancer and heart attacks.
