Today is World Population Day, the current population being more than 7 billion people worldwide. The U.S. Census Bureau gives a U.S. and World population clock, which is interesting to check out, and you can see that here, and it also tells the population of different countries. In 2016 the United Nations predicted that by 2050 there will be 9.7 billion people on earth with questions on how much the planet can sustain. However, new evidence shows that less millennials are choosing not to have babies. This could change at anytime as we know, so we really do not know where the population will go. There are of course concerns with the population continuing to rise, such as climate change, poverty, and gender equality, and you can find more information on these concerns here. Many things to think about, when it comes to World Population Day!
