Alexander Graham Bell

On March 71876 Alexander Graham Bell patented the telephone, and 3 days later, he made the first phone call. Who did he call, his assistant, “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you” he said according to the website In 1915 Bell called his assistant in San Francisco from New York, I wonder how much that call cost. Do you remember when calling other cities and states cost an arm and a leg? And now, more than 100 years later, not only does pretty much everyone own a phone, (and by phone I mean cell phone, including young children) we talk on them without cords, and for much less. I am sure Alexander Graham Bell would be happy to know how much he is keeping people connected from distances near and far.
