The Fallout of Daylight Savings Time

The weekend daylight savings time ended was great!  An extra hour to sleep in Sunday morning, daylight a little earlier to greet us… but Monday?  UGH!  Our family French Bulldog Melky expressed our familial feelings exactly, with the answer of staying in bed, under the sheets, seriously.  But, as great as that sounds, and as good as Melky makes it look, daylight savings sure does effect us.

As if daylight savings time isn’t confusing enough (or disheartening depending on your view) add to it the upcoming Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, (which happens to be December 21) and it’s enough to give you a time change phobia!  Is there such a malady?  But of course, chronophobia.  Chronophobia is the morbid and irrational fear of time.  CLICK HERE to read all about it, if you have the time….

Maybe the best thing to do is stay informed?  Modern technology makes it easy for us to know the exact time of sunrise and sunset –  I’ll just be sure and either come to work later or leave work earlier so I can still catch some sunlight…
